I have always been employed (Alhamdulillah) and never had to spend a single day on unemployment benefits. And I don’t mind that the government supports people who are out of job to make sure they have a safe roof to sleep under and can afford to feed themselves and their families. Even within that Life1 thread you are referring to I have mentioned that I am glad that there is a welfare system and that it helps those who really need help.
What pisses me off though, is the fact that a lot of people misuse it and then have the audacity to claim that it’s their right to do so. I just can’t accept that. When I see people who live off benefits for an extended period of time and at the same time drive flashy cars and run around with the latest mobile phones every couple of months, I get really mad.
