so how come there were absolutely no hijras in isb like 5 years ago and past 2 years they are in every market? Yes some of them have the genuine problem but for most it's just a way to make money.

and yes I know how this thinking may offend some people but it's true.

An other extreme social / cultural / unislamic mal-tradition, at least in Pakistan, is jehaiz / dowry demand / expectations due to which many other social problems are created including following;

  1. Females remain unmarried
  2. Unislamic ways are adopted to fullfil sexual desire
  3. Married girls not bringing enough jehaiz with them are being welcomed with acid or at least such girls remained under constant tension due to taanas of MIL and other family members.
  4. People use every means to get money so that they can provide enough jehaiz to their loved daughters / sisters.
