but what about people we know in real life such as nosey relatives who stalk your every move on fb..and then make it a point to say that out in awkward situations in gatherings etc :pcg:

^If relatives can see your posts/pics then they're not stalking you. You're inviting them to criticize you. It's pretty easy to choose what and how much you want to share with others on fb.

They used abusive language and said that they would kill me and everyone I know etc. These were mostly Indians from small town and villages (checked their pages)

Oh Gosh. I’m guilty of this.. buttttt I wouldn’t say I use social networking sites to STALK, rather just utilise the available information. :halo:
Every time I have interviews etc I make sure I facebook the interviewer and try and get a picture of what they look like 
Most of the time it just makes me more nervous.
One of the worst things that has happened though, a few weeks back, the place where I’ll be working in a couple of months have taken on another graduate too and they wanted us to get to speak to one another and perhaps consider living together. So anyway they gave the other lass my number and she texted me telling me her name and who she was etc. Before I even replied to her text I just thought oh lets facebook her… I found her profile but I was using my phone.. accidentally sent her a friend request 
She must think I’m such a weirdo.

I agree. Though fb doesn't have the best of privacy settings. Many loopholes but that would be another topic. My problem is with those people who would make it a point to go read a wallpost i have written on my friend's wall and then at some completely unrelated occasion, relate to it in a not-so-funny way ! lol
