~~Baat karne ki bhi azadi gai
Shehar say ab rasm-e-faryadi gai

Kat rahi hai zindagi footpath par
Kachi basti khali karwa di gai

Ishq may shehzaday kay phir ek kaneez
Oonchi deewaron may chunwa di gai

Bhook say aagay bhala kya sochtay
Soch ko zangeer pehna di gai

Mar gaya mulzim tashadud say jo raat
Laash khamoshi say dafna di gai

Sonay kay sikkay pe phir Arif Shafeeq
Shah ki tasweer banwa di gai~~
