Sobers was a crap bowler at best...his average is so pathetic that it is the highest amongst the bowlers with 150 or more wickets...It might even be highest amongst those with 100 or more wickets...

I don't know how he could have "bowl em well too"...there is a clip on Youtube of him where he is struggling to get the line right...bowls like four extra wide wides down the leg....Of all the five test match series he played, he never took 25 wickets in a series and never won his side any series based on his bowling alone...An overrated allrounder and even more overrated bowler...Off course, none of this changes the fact that he was a master batsman, surely in the top five of all time...
