Can anyone tell me why it’s always suggested to soak almonds overnight and eat them the first thing next morning aka “nihaar muun”. Why can almonds not be eaten raw? What does soaking actually does to almonds besides softening them up?
If this isn’t the right place for this thread, feel free to move it where it actually belongs. I opened it up here because I was curious to know how are soaked almonds more healthy or better than raw almonds?
I have heard that it is sunnah to eat 3 almonds every morning (before or after breakfast, I don't know about that).
Someone told me that eating 3 almonds soaked in milk overnight, in the morning, will cure persistent headaches. The person who told me swears it works.
And the reason to soak and eat almonds before breakfast is that they increase memory. That's what our college principal told us.
My MIL tells me to do this every night as I have a bad memory and pesistent headaches but I always forget too...!!

I didn't know soaking almonds in milk helps with the headaches.. I'm going to try that tonight... If I remember.
