You started a thread without thinking. Maybe it was a personal topic, maybe a controversial ....
maybe you wanted a topic on which people would fight with each other, maybe your intentions were simple and the thread went south ...
Is it ethical to now starting Pming mods to close that thread .. do you feel that just because you started the thread, you have the ownership to decide its fate ...
I think this goes back to that thread 'feeling the urge to be defensive' ... what I don't get is why ppl want to back track on their words, actions etc etc. They're not "Man" enough to handle the heat generated afterwards?
