the gender of the baby before he/she makes her/his entry in this world to annouce herself/himself.
For me with my first one i waited and waited and then 2 weeks before due date in my last ultrasound, i had to ask the lady:smack:.I wanted to do baby shopping

Oh my God - no way...hehe...i guess its understandable you wanted to do baby shopping! But can you not tell yourself the sex of the baby from scan?
I did not want to know because I had no preference for a boy or a girl. My wife wanted to know so that she could do some shopping for our new baby. In our case there were long planned gaps between the kids so we could not just re-use what we bought for our earlier baby , we already had donated or given away baby stuff. New baby new adventures in shopping for baby stuff .:)

that was my first baby and i was very bad at undestanding scans, i remember when my bhabhi was pregnant she showed me a ultrasound pic and i was staring at that like what is this:confused:, then she had to explain to me that this is baby’s face closeup, this is nose, these r lips etc, even then it barely make any sense to me.
Now i am pregnant with my 3rd child and i am thinking not to find out this time , but guess what my hubby already asking dr. about it. so far we dont know as 2nd trimester has just started.

We found out both times at my first scheduled ultrasound, I think at 18 weeks. Hubby said he couldn't wait for 9 months! I was OK with it too.

I love surprises so i will not find the sex of the baby before he/she is born especially for the first one.

1st baby we did not know. 2nd baby, I found out by error. It was a full genetic scan or something and they revealed the sex of the baby. But huby did not want to know and I never told anyone else. So i was the only one who knew and everyone was really tring hard so I would trip and tell them. It was fun.

We found out both times as well. Wife couldnt wait to find out and I was right there with her.
we wanted to know both times as well.... first time the result was wrong... but for the 2nd one, it was right.
