this whole drama bazi can't even be classified as "election" or "re-election". u bring in a bunch of paid cronies, give them a bit more carrots and ask them to elect you again ???

bhai saab, i have seen more then 100 polls on the net where musharaf has won by a big margin, these proven nothing but jack.
Yeah may be you have seen polls before March 9th, or may be you are just returning from a very long vacation.
Some international polls are suggesting at the moment Osama bin Laden is more popular in Pakistan than Musharaf...
I agree before 9th of March he had approval ratings of more than 50%, but he was really exposed after that. 12th May was the worse day in his career and eventually 29th September is the final nail in his popularity coffin....
Either you don't live in Pakistan or you are a very isolated person. You really don't have any idea about prevailing temprature in Pakistan. The biggest argument General sahib could give in his favour was 160 million people are sleeping at home and not coming to the streets in an interview yesterday. He is forgetting people did not come to streets even when Zia hanged Bhutto. A common man never comes on the streets to recieve dandas in the head, but it doesn't mean Zia was very popular. I haven't seen any one today who takes Zia's name in good context except his son may be...
Bottom line is in order to stay in power he will have to massively rig the election and sample drama has already started. But all this will eventually add to his miseries.....
