come on guys dont lie that you dont beat the hell out of kids when they break somethings, or if they fell from staircase, etc
why parents, or elders take out their anxiety on kids, or their younger ones?

dear zobia, sincere regret is a way of poignant realizing over something done wrong, so spilt milk adage has a comforting function to some degree, if it is seen as such, in this context.

oooooo…well actually this proverb’s metaphorical meaning has really close relationship to my real life.

urdu one was like…my teacher decorated lawn (in decorating lawn competition) with popcorns…or chiran waki us ko chug gayee thee 
and english one…well that is pretty self explanatory
