Re: So what’s wrong with Soy?
Uhm, i drink soy milk… ![]()
There is conflicting research and studies about soy… just like alcohol (they say red wine is bad for you, but then apparently it’s good for your heart).
Everything in moderation, and you’ll be fine. We live in such a nanny state now.
And is there something with the "haram" element in SOY milk? I was going through some islamic website and it had mentioned all the SOY milk manufacturers as haram for some ingredient. Dont remember wht it was exactly
Re: So what's wrong with Soy?
If you read and believed everything on every Islamic site out there, the only thing left for us that would be halal is water.
Soy milk - never heard of that being haram.
Soy sauce - some are fermented, so some can have a 1-2% alcohol content.

Alcohol puts anyone who drinks it at higher risk for a lot of conditions, so any so-called benefit is not worth all the risks that increase due to its consumption. Grape juice has the same benefit.
Re: So what's wrong with Soy?
high quantities of soy protein are not good for men, and especially male infants/toddlers.
Re: So what's wrong with Soy?
^ I think something in soy is or mimics estrogens, hence the above. But I'm sure someone has better info out there.
Re: So what's wrong with Soy?
yup thats the issue, too much soy to baby boys gives them man breasts.
Re: So what’s wrong with Soy?
Soy has been linked to
Thyroid problems in infants and even in adults
Immune system weakness
Breast cancer in women
Some allergic reactions
Kidney stones
Aluminum content can cause kidney and brain functional problems
Re: So what's wrong with Soy?

Someone somewhere is constantly figuring out a most convoluted reason why something is haraam. Just ignore these idots. Soya milk is good for you, both men and women.
