Shoaib Akhtar ruled out of Sri Lanka series **

LAHORE: Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar will miss the test series against Sri Lanka next month because of a knee injury.

“Shoaib has informed us that he has an inflamed knee which requires surgery early next month,” Pakistan team coach Intikhab Alam said.

Alam said Shoaib would need at least three weeks to recover from the surgery, ruling the 33-year-old out of the two home tests being played between Feb. 23 and March 6.

Re: So whats new?

haha..and he is getting paid 250k to fake these injuries. this guy is a huge bad influence on others. he is like a massi everyone loves to hate.

who cares? he is in Category A of the contracts and is getting 250k per month for nothing after all doing nothing is quite hard these days :)

Re: So whats new?

His knees certainly aren't wobbly when he's out on the lash.

Speaking of which, what happened to the last GS fantacy league ending on SriL-Pak 3rd ODI ??? I thought I was leading way ahead, :teggy:

Re: So whats new?

so we are going to miss YET AGAIN seeing the greatest fast bowler of all time in action
:chai:

The lankans must be doing high fives

Re: So whats new?

^ Lankans are a little worried. Now they have to face full strength 11 mediocre players, instead of 10.

Re: So whats new?

PCB got too much money, wasting a couple of hundred thousand dollars won't hurt them.

Re: So whats new?

Shoaib Akhtar and Sardar Mohammad Asif are now only liability to our team and PCB finances, they must be let go. They have too many surgeries, injuries, court cases, doping cases, charas cases, bhangra cases. We need people like Gul who aren't as much injured and are not fond of charas, afeem, ganjha, heroine (all kinds) etc.

Re: So whats new?

I hate to say this - and please dont issue any "cricket fatwa" in my name because of this
(Being a die hard fan of cricket - and someone who has been following pakistan cricket from the days of Mushtaq / Asif Iqbal / Zaheer Abbass) , but it looks like things are going the same direction as what happened to Pakistan hockey team, after winning every single world title, over just a period of few years the hockey team disappeared from the scene.

If PCB (or whoever is responsible) does not start the "Damage Repair" process immediately we can say Good bye, same way we did to Hockey. The first step would be to get rid of these Haram K****r and chamchay that have formed groups, in and out of the team. If it has to be done from scratch, then let it be this way, at least then we can have a brand new fighting team after say 2 or 3 years.

The million $$ question is who is that "MARD" who will do this ?
I don't see any leader who could get us out of this mess.
or maybe I am not looking hard enough.....
