I agree with you first time ever pcg. We should follow Sunnah and don't stereo-type but atleast that is what i see. I give you an example, 3 of my friends got married recently with someobody who are same age as them. They are happy mA'Allah but one thing these guys all tell me that sometimes they feel their wives are controlling in every aspect of their lives. I.e, they don't let them go out with their fellow male companions for skiing,cool adventure, don't let them dine out with other friends and co-workers.
On other hand my other 4 friends got married to somebody who are few age younger then them..and they tell me that..it is perhaps one of the best thing ever happened in their lives and their wives are "friends" more than their mother.
Is that coincedence? i don't think so.
