I've lived in the U.K for 18 years and I have more morals, better ethics and more understanding of my religion than most of my family who live in Pakistan.
The above observations are noramlly made by people who see movies, and t.v shows and think omg everyone abroad must live like that. No, we have some bad eggs living amongst us as does any other country, when students turn 'bad' its on their own accord. You say they need someone to 'look after them' no, they should have been brought up being told all of this is wrong. It is down to the individual, not the society.
Drinking, alcohol and sex - they all are alive and kicking in pakistan too.
I have been living here for long time since the time I was young and restless and I have many friends from Pakistan , India , Bangladesh , Indonesia , Jordan , Palestine , who did not have anybody to keep a check on their activities but they all turned out to be good citizens of these societies.
I have hundreds of thousands of neighbors and friends who have been living here for centuries and who have good morals and standards and are functional families.
Yes there are night clubs here , yes booze is available freely , yes there are drug addicts and criminals in these societies but so does all those Muslim countries. They have night clubs , if you want to, you can buy booze and drugs in Muslim countries too . In my school , college and university days in Pakistan I was friends to boys and girls who had sexual relations with other boys and girls , there were even boys who had sexual relationship with married women.
But was everyone doing so , no , same is true for Western societies, not every living soul here is corrupt , deprived of morals , and madar pidar azzad
^ exactlyyyy. Its depends entirely on the individual and how they want to live their lives. I know a lot of students who have come over from Pakistan to study and Allhamdulilah most of them have graduated with excellent degrees and have gone back home, with their reputation in tact. I agree some of them do go out drink, etc but theyve openely admitted they used to drink in Pakistan too, one of them was even proud to tell us he wasnt a virgin and he was shocked to hear how little we had done in 'that' department. Its all about the upbringing you get, in my eyes, nothing is above my parents, no one could ever give me the joy they do, nor could any amount of drink or drugs. The western countries will give to you, what you want to take. If youre living there for the education, you'll get it, but if you're living there for a life of enjoyment and things that you know are against our religion, then so be it, you'll get that too. Its wrong to discriminate against them purely because of their lifestyles, its there yes but they dont force it on you in anyway. The decision is there for you to take.

alhumdolilah i have been in canada for so long but i think my parents have raised gud muslims and gave us al the required teaching … and i proud to call ma self muslim
This topic just...makes me so angry. Everytime I go to pakistan, someone makes an ill educated comment such as 'bahir kay bachay achay muslim nahin hotay' or 'vo karaab hojatay hai'.
It's just like actually, how about you check your daughters phone to see how many guys shes texting and then check mine, and we'll see who is 'karrab' and who is not.
