Be honest, no lying. How much money did you waste on this game? I probably wasted 300 rupay on it.
The game was CRAZY. At first, it was pretty mild, but then these hyper versions started coming out, and soon hacked ones. Like, Ryu could shoot 10 fireballs, and zanghief could teleport himself. It got absurd. I used to play with Vega, or Blanca.
I didn't spend a penny on it. Well not at the arcade anyway. I tried it there once when a friend had the arcade reserved for his party once. I played a few games of it then, but that was it for the arcade. I tried it later on the SNES and Genesis, but those wouldn't count as per the topic since they don't require tokens. I've been considering getting it on XBLA but something else usually gets higher gaming priority from me.
My most used characters in that were Ken, Ryu, Guile and M Bison.
I was a pinball addict. I spent many friday evenings and weekends on “Highspeed” and “Eight-Ball” pinball machines at Funland Clifton with friends. There were times when I would spend hours on only one-token. We all becamse such experts that, when would leave, we would have 10+ tokens in the bank that we earned/won while playing. We would just give them away to the next person waiting to play.
I had real addiction for this game. My mom used to give me 2 rupees on "weekdays" and 3 on Fridays as my pocket money those days and I would spend most of it on those video games. :p
Street Fighter 2 and Snow Bros (Cheechi Meechi). :D
I still have some late version of SF on my PC but its not that hyper and I still play it like once a couple of months. :)
Re: So truthfully, how many tokens were wasted on Street Fighter II?
ryu and ken for me.....Me and my friend used to challenge each other for straight 4-5 hours a day back in school....I still play street fighter when I get a chance and challenge the kid playing the game....the look they give me is something....lol
Re: So truthfully, how many tokens were wasted on Street Fighter II?
Only played it on SNES, had an Indian friend who's house I used to go to every morning for couple hours...then out for cricket in the afternoon. good ol innocent days... now that friend is in jail and im in university trying to get an "education"
Re: So truthfully, how many tokens were wasted on Street Fighter II?
I actually started on SF1, which i finished.. Sf 2 was a mad addiction though... to use CM's words..forget about the national debt pool all the pennies together and the credit crisis is history!
