Palestinians, what do you think they are gonna achieve by taking aid-workers et al hostage. Its an Italian guy now, after the Brit, who (all respect due to her) said shes gonna continue her work.

There are many things Palastinians are doing in a wrong manner to present their case and to fight for what they deserve. And I think such things are just going against them. Jews are taking full advantage of such acts.....

hiccup, they have been doing that for some time now. Usually they don't harm the workers, just get concessions from the Palestinian police. For example, demanding that one of their mates be released from jail.

I don't "blame" anyone necessarily. There should be a more effective government - one that has authority and can therefore control its poeples and stop this happening - on the other hand the government is made redundant by forces out of its control.
The kids, and yea most of them are young adults and therefore fal linto the banner of kid-ish ism, have grown up in a war zone, that under no circumstances is an excuse for kidnapping. Its stupid, they are taking away the backbone fromtheir own cause.
To me the situation seems pointless and endless - what I fear is the kidnapping in Palastine going in the Iraq vein. ie. the private who was initially kidnapped the lady (i forget her name) was treated well... however as more and more poeple were kidnapped - the brutality against them increase. REf: heads chopped off.

That will require Israel to allow Palestanian Govt to have better tools/equipments including arms. Now we cannot do that can we? The way it is set up works best for israel, weak governemnt and every breach makes them look good. Its a calculated plan, hiccy.

I doubt its so much a calculated plan as a sad reality. What does Israel get out of destabalising Palistine? Even if they eventually wanted to amalgamate the two states - it would never be possible as the poeple are genetally ( :p) dissident-ic (i made up the word) . It would never be stable and would create more problems.
Why dont they just cut their losses?
