what’s wrong with South Africa? How can a team that is so well prepared for every tournament and is annhilating oppositions left and right and look invincible just … choke? It’s almost like watching a movie where the underdog always wins because somehow the formidable team forgets how to play. Didn’t they get a psychologist to fix this problem or something?

When Nasser Hussain asked Smith about the choking. Smith flat out denied it but you could feel he was thinking the exact same thing and couldn’t really look Hussain in the eye. Seriously, what’s wrong with you guys?

Re: So seriously...like

I agree with South African captain. They didn't choke today. They were just completely out-played by a spirited and very talented Pakistan team - and, of course, their bad luck is they got an Afridi who completely dominated.

Re: So seriously...like

I wouldn't categorize SA's performance today as "choking"... they played to their full capability... but Alhamdullilah our team played even better.

Re: So seriously...like

Forget SA, talk about Pakistan, They have outclassed SA the unbeaten team and thus indirectly has beaten all those beaten by SA.

Today it was Pakistan who actually chocked them :-)

yeap. Smith said, "it was not the pressure, Pakistan were the better team".

Having a Psychologist to treat them itself proves that they cant play in pressure.
I wud rather have em play more short version games like ... double wicket 3/4 overs games so they can deal with pressure alot and do better under pressure.
