Re: So People, What Are You Wearing?
Sorry for derailing the thread further, but I think it also costs less to go to university here in the UK compared to US? And btw I just discovered this place and what a gem of a thread it is! :k:

Re: So People, What Are You Wearing?
Another off-topic question: are A-levels restricting in terms of switching majors? 16 is pretty young to know what career you want.

Not at all. I had Physics, Chemistry and Bio in A levels but I ended up with a MBA. Moreover, yeah A levels is much tougher any my friends told me that what they MBBS 1 year had alot of concepts from A levels Bio

Kind of. A lot of degrees will have certain subjects you have to have studied at A-level to qualify for entry. If you chose to do science and maths A-levels your choices will be restricted to science, engineering, med, maths, economics etc. My friend changed her mind after doing science A-levels so did an intensive 1 year course with 3 totally new subjects so she could get into the degree she wanted to.

Re: So People, What Are You Wearing?
Studying in the UK was much cheaper than the US before, but now most Universities are charging in the region of £8,000 per year(which is paid by taking out student loans). So if you’re doing a 4 year degree you leave with a substantial amount of debt, especially if you’re applying for a maintenance loan too.
Anyways, back to pichas. I was carrying a food baby at the time, I shouldn’t take pictures after a 3 course meal ![]()
