You probably think women should just stick to turtle-necks and long-skirts at work too?
What is acceptable and what isn’t has changed A LOT in the last couple of decades.

The fact that these shoes are popular in the Gulf/Middle East has no bearing on their acceptability.
I’ve been wearing them with casual wear in the UK, Europe and Asia while living and travelling.
And not just in private but in public events (Dress-code Casual of course).

Now if I was wearing a suit, that would be entirely different.
I don up my Navy suits with black or dark brown shoes.

And I meant they are never acceptable b/c they just, um, don’t look good. You can wear whatever you want.
