White shoes, unless kicks or sneakers, are never acceptable. Period. And esp. those shaped like a pair Elvis would wear. Do you happen to live in the Gulf/Middle East? Those shoes are notoriously popular there.

You probably think women should just stick to turtle-necks and long-skirts at work too?
What is acceptable and what isn't has changed A LOT in the last couple of decades.
The fact that these shoes are popular in the Gulf/Middle East has no bearing on their acceptability.
I've been wearing them with casual wear in the UK, Europe and Asia while living and travelling.
And not just in private but in public events (Dress-code Casual of course).
Now if I was wearing a suit, that would be entirely different.
I don up my Navy suits with black or dark brown shoes.

Nothing terribly exciting.
I was a mentor at my old workplace and the band was how people spotted me if I was on the rounds.
I just never got around to taking it off and so now I use it to remind myself of things I need to do.
Its weird, I know.

Well..I like them..I always loved when guys wore white shoes with casual!! I think it adds a little bit of class and sophistication
