iPhone 4S it is!
Much to the disappointment of many who were expecting a brand spanking new iPhone 5 to be released, and to the joy of those who suspected all along that it would be the ‘S’ that comes before a new device altogether.
Reasons to upgrade: Faster processor, Stronger GPU, better camera, better antenna/communication management system in place.
Reasons to wait: iOS 5 to be released to all current Apple Device users on Oct. 12th regardless. If you’re not due to renew contract for another year, wait and renew with the actual new device next year.
Why I’m holding back? The tweaks offered in 4S aren’t tempting enough to bite into. I’m quite content with my iPhone 4. I will however take advantage of the edge iOS 5 offer and upgrade to that when it releases Oct. 12th. Providing, that a jailbreak is already available by then.
What i’m excited about: Being able to SMS over 3G/wifi, as a feature built into the iOS. No need for extra apps. If it works well, i might consider slashing my unltd txt plan.
