From March 2010 ro July 2010 Hillary Clinton hinted said in man different ways that they beleived Osama was in Pakistan, while its okay for ordinary people to dismiss the claims, the intelligence agencies as well as governmet should have paid heed to the comments and tried to work out location of Osama.

US may have hinted but they never shared any intelligence with Pakistan. There was no way for Pak to confirm the authenticity. It was not known to Pak whether this assertion was just someone’s guess or based on hard intelligence.
Now we know that it was based on intelligence gathered from a Gitmo detainee. This intelligence pointed to a courier in Pakistan, which ultimately led to Osama.
But Pakistan never was told any of this intelligence. So there was no way for Pak to know where Osama may be.

I don’t think Osama’s presence in Pak shows incompetence of Pak intelligence services.
