I was banned because of a comment I posted in the “pakistani-taliban-hint-at-attacks-on-aid-workers” thread. In which I posted about militant groups helping out the poor, no breaking news, it was all over television and newspapers. All I pointed out was that how the Pakistani government (worse than prostitutes) were doing nothing in comparison to these militant groups. Here is the comment I was banned for:
So I say good job to militant groups** when** they (openly) do good in Pakistan, that makes me a sympathizer? In that case why not ban all the Pak gov supporters, they’re no different.
I don’t like to be a pain in the butt and I really don’t care much for an online forum but I’ve seen the moderating team (PA/WA forums) being unfair and just useless because they like to see people and views of their “kind”. Why not just close access to us all and have your little group discuss your own little world realities? I see more minority views on this “PAKISTANI” forum than majority views. This forum should be called “pakistani wannabe gupshup”. Btw, I’m not the first one complaining about the specific mod team.
This has a direct impact on the forum, for one you don’t get to see diverse views which leads to membership activity decreasing… I’m sure management understands all this basic stuff.** My question** is what’s the point of an online forum if you cannot have a 2-way discussion without someone being banned?
This is a serious question, not trying to cause trouble…!
I've seen the moderating team (PA/WA forums) being unfair
you see them being unfair because you saw only one perspective. We also ban people who twist every normal conversation into anti-taliban conversation for no reason. Sometimes its not the words that ban you but the other factors also come in play. I am sure Lusi will come and explain more here
You got warning points for your post which added up with your previous points and ended up in an automatic ban.
We always encourage 2-way discussion but with in the limits of decency.
We have a zero tolerance policy for anyone who shows support to killing of innocent people.
GS Does Not Support ANY Political View Point but we do not entertain anyone who shows support to those acting against the solidarity of Pakistan.
The article was about Pakistani Taliban Tehreek launching attacks against foreigner aid workers who are helping the flood victims. They have nothing to do with any policies of Pakistani or their respective governments. They are innocent people on our land, helping our people, we will not allow anyone supporting any group (militant or non militant) launching attacks on foreigners, especially the aid workers in Pakistan. You got the warning not because you where supporting Pakistani Taliban Tehreek’s aid efforts **but their killing of innocent people. **
Again, we welcome and encourage 2-way discussion but we do not accept any mud-sliding, support to killing of innocent people, flaming/insulting posts to different ethnicities, sects, religions, countries, or other large group.
