So I picked up the newspaper...

…this morning, hoping to catch up on my comics like I do every morning, see how “Adam” is getting along with his home office, how are the kids in “Zits” are doing and everything. But instead of heading to the comics like I usually do, I opened the front page. An beginning from the first page to the last, it was filled with nothing but news of death, destruction, violence, etc etc. Nice start to my day it was. First was the news of the girl that was murdered in brampton, then came the news of the assassinated Hamas leader (may Allah bless his soul and deliver him Jannah), and why it happened, and how are the Palestinians and the rest of the world reacting to it, to the fact (which I am sure everyone knew about) that the war in Iraq was all staged and was unnescessary and how the U.S. government is trying to make it look like that the book that Richard Clarke published is just a political move, and to the mistreatments of the animals in a slaughter house and it just went on from there. Perhaps the only story that was not connected to doom and destruction was how Canadian Tire is starting a wedding registry. And reading this stuff, I absolutely forgot about my comics. It was only when I decided to read through the whole newspapers that I realized that oh, I forgot about the comics. Sometimes I wonder what would people from other worlds would think if they just decided to review our world based on our newspapers. And I also think what is our world coming to, and what will happen to us. And then I think, this is norm…as strange as it might seem. Well, let’s just see what the tomorrow’s newspaper will decide to highlight.
