The question if he is muslim or not is redundant. He isn't by virtue of the Quran and the Holy Prophets last sermon. These two openly state that the Holy Prophet is the Seal of the Prophets. If you disbelieve both sources you aren't a Muslim by any right.
The question was how you would handle it. I find the situation interesting. I of course will do my religious duty of explaining how he is not a Muslim and let him decide.
