So How Did The Tsunami Happen?

For those who want to know (of course)…

**In geological terms, what has happened?
How does the wave develop?
Why was there no warning?
Could there be more waves on a similar scale? **

A question for you!!!
Are we safe???

No we're not safe. A metoer could come crashing on our heads and we wouldn't even know what hit us. No body is completely safe from anything.

A metoer??? when, where, how???

the earth probably gets thousands of hits daily but most don't get much further than the atmosphere.

More disasterous effects are of those of earthquakes, volcanoes, tornadoes etc. Best to keep an eye on Yellowstone too. It's a couple of thousand years overdue.

Thanks for the correction, though none of us would be able to tell the difference between a meteor, a metoerite, a comet or an asteriod when one hits us. I wasn't implementing anything by mentioning a "metoer". I was just saying that nobody is completely safe from anything. I mean the tsunami was a result of an earthquake, which can happen almost anywhere in the world where two or more tectonic plates meet. So this kind of earthquake could have happened in.. lets say los angeles, which is almost on the other side of the world from where this earthquake took place and the end result would have been pretty devestating nonetheless. I mean who in their wildest dream would have thought that this would happen?

yeah ure right, but the thing is, meteors burn up before entering the earth's surface.

Theres actually an asteriod on its way towards earth in about 25 years, but its VERY likely that it will go past earth, without collision as even the slightest angle in this distance would deviate it way too much.

Source??? ... Actually I heard that too, but I want to know where it came from.

Yeah its coming in 2048. but we have plenty of time to live by then so chill

well a killer lethal virus which is highly contageous can erupt at any given time and kill anyone who comes in contact with it.

Not to scare you or anything..

Re: So How Did The Tsunami Happen?

can a tsumani be caused by human intervention ??? like underground nukes etc. when a experiments go wrong while developing next generation of natural disasters weapons!

I am sure many of us have seen that film when experiment went wrong and created this kind of situation. dont remember the name though.

Re: So How Did The Tsunami Happen?

This is what happened in reality: Whales are purty pissed about humans hunting and pushing their species to extinction. As a revenge, bunch of them got together and blew a massive fart in perfect harmony causing the Tsunami.
