That is a bit extreme. Cleaning the shoes with a piece of cloth will work too.

I do know how they are. They over think stuff, they fret over little things and have this hard exterior and a soft and gooey center like a chocolate Easter bunny. But the point is that being someone other than yourself shows a lack of self-confidence and that is unattractive.
Be who you are and you will get the guy.
