So confused about eye creams!

I’ve been trying to find a good eye cream for ages now. I’m 25 years old and just want to make sure I keep the area hydrated and prevent any wrinkles from forming and just remove some of the minor ones that I do have. I also have under eye circles but after much research I’ve realised that they’re hereditary and there’s not too much I can do about it so I just use almond oil and a few other natural methods which could help but aren’t harming me and aren’t expensive either.

I’ve done so much research on eye creams that I’m now completely confused. Every time I go to Sephora they recommend a different eye cream to me. I’ve been recommended Ole Henriksens, Caudalie, Perricone MD. Shiseido, the list goes on. Through my research I’ve seen so many ingredients that are supposed to be important too: hylauronic acid, peptides, kinetin, antioxidants, etc. Its impossible to find a cream that has them all and to figure out which ones are more important than the others. I tried Kinerase’s restructure firming eye cream and for the 60 bucks I found it did pretty much nothing.

I look up reviews on Make up alley too and so far there’s no one eye cream that has gotten overwhelmingly positive reviews. There are eye creams, serums, gels, some people say you you should use retinol under you eyes too, others say its irritating. Should you wear sunscreen under your eyes? I’ve tried it and sunscreen definitely irritates me in that area.

So I was hoping you guys could help me make some sense of all that confusing marketing and information out there and suggest how I should go about choosing the right eye cream for my needs and if you guys have any recommendations for whats worked for you.

Thanks for your help!

Re: So confused about eye creams!

I use Ole Henriksen Ultimate lift eye gel at night. It has hylauronic acid. it keeps my under eye area hydrated and smooth.

I plan on switching to IS clinical youth eye complex in 10 or so years:). I gave it to my mom and it has significantly reduced the lines around her eyes. It's a little pricey but worth every penny. It has pharmaceutical grade ingredients so i don't recommend getting it from an online retailer. Get it from an authorized dermatologist/ aesthetician. It has hylauronic acid and strong peptides.

Re: So confused about eye creams!

Dooree other than hydrating the area do you find that it helps with puffiness and any fine lines? Does it have any other key ingredients other than the hylauronic acid?
