It depends what you want from them!

It's an all-rounder and looks like a pretty attractiveoption. It's very powerful, so it won't be outdated for a long time yet. Whatmore could you ask for?

got all 3...
wii is fun since the games are different (wii sports) but the graphics aren't all that...it does makes u move around though...
XBox 360 is good, some decent games on it (Halo3, Gears of War), good graphics, plus the HD DVD add-on is useful...
PS3 has amazing graphics, and will get better and better games (DMC4, Assassin's Creed)...plus it plays blu-ray, which is awesome since all high def DVDs are going to be in blu-ray as well from this point onwards...
given all of that, if u're looking for a good console that'll last u the next 4/5 yrs, and has add-ons that will be useful, then go with the PS3 :)

I haven't tried one yet. There's nothing on it that I want at this point that I couldn't get for XBox 360.

Why are you comparing Wii to last generation's consoles? I haven't tried Wii yet either, and I had all of last generation's consoles. The PS2 was mainly for RPG's, while for Gamecube I had for some of its exclusives. The XBox was my console of choice for multi-platform games for the most part, as well as some of the MS published titles.

Are there any games that interest you on Wii? If you don't know, you can find out what's available by checking nintendo's site or any other gaming site.

well actually i am pretty choosy wen it cums to gaming and stuff
im a full time gamer a real geek
i lyk PS cuz of the graphics and excitement
so i want to invest in sumthing rock solid that i enjoy and for long time
i seriously feel dizzy cuz of a bad video game
rarely any game matches my standard
so i dont want to waste my money on sum crappy console
im hearing alot of stuff bout wii
thats y i wanted to make sure
but personaly i like PS consoles
satisfactory
like in PS1 there were alot of and fun games
then in ps2 there were not many games but all that graphics and storylines of the games were worth it!!
so i hope ps3 will have more games

Costs too much, I wish I could buy one. $399 for basic, $499 for good version. Although, what is the hard drive on a PS3 for? Does it matter if it is 40 GB or 80 GB?

well hard drive is to store ur stuff on ur game console
just lyk ur pc u can store stuff like pics and videos and bla bla on the pc hard drive just lyk that u can store ur stuff on ps3 hard drive
and yes size of drive makes difference
if its 80 GB then its gonna store more stuff than 40 GB

The standing of the PS3 is quite different from that of the PS2 from last generation. PS2 was the clear winner of the generation and so far the PS3 has the least market share.
I don’t know what kind of games you like, but my favorite kind are RPGs. PS2 was the clear winner in that respect last generation. Right now XBox 360 has the bigger (and IMO better) selection of games.

The hard drive is used for game saves, downloadable games and downloadable content. I would go with the bigger hard drive.

Well actually PS2 has many more games than XBox and XBox 360. PS3 wasn't doing so good in the market because it was the most expensive out of the consoles of its generation. Compared to the XBox 360, it has a smaller selection of games and not many exclusives. Some notable games that were to be exclusive to PS3 but went mutliplatform are Assassin's Creed and Devil May 4.
One of the reasons the PS3 was very expensive when it first came out was because it uses Blu-Ray (HD format). Even with the use of Blu-Ray, from what I've read on different gaming sites, the BluRay didn't give the PS3 much of an edge (if any) as far as graphics are concerned.

We have a PS3 -- according to my husband it's more of a system for gamers. The Wii is for those of us who enjoy social interactions and the occasional video game. I like the Wii.

Despite its price drop, i wouldn't part my with my cash for one. Games for the console are few and far between, give it another yr.
