In true Hollywood fashion, there are currently two ‘Snow White’ projects competing to get off the ground at the same time. Also in true Hollywood fashion, both productions are attempting to coax major movie stars into the role of the evil Queen, the jealous ruler who sentences Snow White to death because a magic mirror informs her that Ms. White, and not her, is the fairest in the land. Then mining dwarfs and adventure happen.
Deadline reports that Universal is currently in negotiations with Charlize Theron to take the villainous role in their ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ while Relativity Media is going after Julia Roberts for their ‘The Brothers Grimm: Snow White.’ There’s also a shortlist for actresses to play Snow White, and we’ll be bringing you that story in a few.
