Snapchat and live Mecca feed.. can it be productive?

I know its been few days now since in last days of Ramdhan Snapchat gave a chance to everyone in and around Mecca to send the live snaps and its really amazing.

What do you think of this, shouldnt it help in improving Muslims image all over the world?

I remember my many non-muslim friends asking me wut exactly happens in Mecca. I’m sure the breathtaking views showed in the snapchat feed can answer all that and remove many misconceptions as well.

For the first time this Ramadan, Muslims performing pilgrimage in the Saudi city of Mecca, a city typically closed to non-Muslims, were able to share their experiences live with the rest of the world via a popular chat app.

Millions of Muslims expressed their joy online at seeing the city they consider the holiest place on earth featured on one of the most popular social platforms.

I think the live snap feeds of Mecca allowed people world-wide to have insight of the peace our religion prides in. Someone on twitter posted a comment on Islam being a very diverse religion…Blacks, Whites, Asians all in one place at the same time for one purpose. Many others were softened to the beauty and spirituality of it all. My eyes teared and a lump formed in my throat as I was going through the twitter comments…I think I was more happy see non-Muslims being appreciative and soft-hearted than I was looking at the snaps! :confused:

Having said all that I didn’t get a chance to read the counter comments of those that were hatin’! Well, let the haters keep on hatin’!! I wouldn’t be surprised if this was the most hated-on snap. Hard-hearted people will come up with anything insignificant to show their disapproval!
