Snakes - Defanging and Devenoming

I heard snake charmers in Pak defang/devenom cobras and then keep them as show animals.

I’m thinking of getting a defanged King Cobra when we move back to Pak, I think it’ll be so cool to have it free about the house and scare my aunties with it..

Was wondering how much it would cost, which part of the country I can get my hands on them and if it’s easy to get them de-fanged and de-venomised safely?

They don’t chew their food so I can’t imagine their fangs serving any purpose other than self-defense.

aww poor snake, dont defang him :teary2: That is so meeeaaan

Re: Snakes - Defanging and Devenoming

i dont know about defanging but i heard the pocket of venoms have to be regularly removed so you might purchase a venom less snake but end up dead none the less after a while. just though i'd let u know as the guy probably selling the snake wont.

Re: Snakes - Defanging and Devenoming

i think king cobra does not exist in pak..it exists only in india(assam and bengal)...
it is very hard to find king cobras in their habitat beac of too much bushes and covers...king cobra is the most dangerous snake in the world as the amount of venom it releases in a single bite is enough to kill a six ton asian elephant or 25 to 30 men...it is not as venemous as australia king brown or tiger snakes..but the amount of venom makes tht snake very dangerous...we dont have king cobras in pak beac many people have been killed trying to caught these cobras....few experts can only de-fanged king...even many professional catchers of other species of cobras dont want to mess with king...beac they r really king..it is not at all suggested to have venemous snakes or phythons etc at ur house...
