I am not sure if it is similar incident. I used to live in Malaysia and this incident happened in Indonesia where this guy, he was from Bangladesh and he used to work at this factory which was close to a thick Jungle. He happen to went inside the jungle to take a break under the tree and thats when it happened. When people realized he is not around they went looking for him and instead found the snake nearby. It was quite a disturbing news in the newspapar.
