Snacks

Snacks are my downfall when it comes to dieting… even if I manage healthy meals, I always end up snacking on chocolate or biscuits or crisps
I buy rice cakes but find them so bland and never know what to put on them. Fruits are good to but not always convenient at work

So please suggest some other low calorie and low fat snacks (sweet and savoury)

u can try to make sweets with estivia…tht is good kinda sugar…but im not sure if u can cook it :hmmm:

Yogurt with Maple Syrup.

Yogurt Lassi (salty)

Mint flavored Dark Chocolate.

Carrots/Radish/Cucumbers/Celery

That’s a sweetner if i’m not mistaken. Don’t use it!

There are a few rules to snacks. Snacks should be 100-200 calories and no more. You should not have more than 3 snacks a day. Try to include at least 2 diff food groups into a snack eg cheese and crackers.

Some ideas:
fruit (whole or cut up so easy to eat at work) with or without low fat dipping or yogurt.
Crackers with hummus
Handful of nuts
Low fat yogurt
Veggies (cut up) with or without low fat dip

2-3 slices of a 12" cheesecake every 4 hours for life helps ;)

Yes, thats what Stevia is advertised as being natural and healthy. In Canada its not allowed to be sold on its own because there isn't enough research to show its safe long term effects.

I would say just use sugar or nothing at all.

Use honey instead. It is metabolized much more slowly than table sugar (sucrose).

honey is good in just some stuff....
