کوئٹہ… کوئٹہ میں سمنگلی ایئر بیس پر دہشتگردوں نے حملے کی کوشش کی، سیکیورٹی فورسز کی جوابی فائرنگ سے 6 دہشتگرد ہلاک ہوگئےجبکہ 11 اہلکار بھی زخمی ہوئے، زخمیوں میں 8 پولیس، ایک ایف سی اور 2 اے ایس ایف اہلکار شامل ہیں۔وزیر داخلہ سرفراز بگٹی نے میڈیا سےبات چیت کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ فورسز کی جوابی فائرنگ سے 6دہشتگرد مارے گئے ہیں جبکہ دہشت گردوں کی فائرنگ سے متعدداہلکار زخمی ہوئے ہیں۔دہشتگردوں میں2خودکش حملہ آور بھی شامل تھے۔سرفراز بگٹی نے بتایا کہ سیکیورٹی فورسزنےدہشت گردوں کوایئربیس کی حدودمیں داخل نہیں ہونےدیا۔ دہشتگردوں کی تعداد سے متعلق حتمی طورپر نہیں کہا جاسکتا۔ دونوں ایئربیس کےعلاقوں میں سیکیورٹی فورسزکاسرچ آپریشن جاری ہے۔ترجمان آئی ایس پی آر کے مطابق کوئی دہشت گردایئربیس میں داخل نہیں ہوا، حملےمیں ایئربیس کاکوئی اہلکارزخمی نہیں ہوا۔وجاہت ایس خان نے کہا کہ دہشت گردممکنہ طور پر چمن کےعلاقےسےداخل ہوئے۔دونوں بیس پراہم تنصیبات ہیں،ایئربیس پر9راکٹ فائرکیےگئے۔

Its funny how media tried avoiding this news and hardly discussed it at all. Their focus is all upon what's happening in Punjab. The imminent threat is ignored while all the shore sharab is glorified.

First and foremost, we commend the brave security personnel for foiling this act of terror. We wish a quick and speedy recovery to those who are injured. As the nation celebrates this Independence Day, the enemies of peace remain focused on destabilizing the region with their acts of terror. They have repeatedly shown that they are willing to cross all lines for the sake of achieving their evil agenda. This is what the TTP spokesperson said after the attacks: “The attacks were in revenge to military operation launched against us in North Waziristan.” We have always emphasized Pakistan’s importance in the region, and at the end of the day we cannot have a safe and secure region without a safe and secure Pakistan. We stand by the government of Pakistan in their efforts to negate the threat of terrorism from the country. It remains our wish to see peace prevail throughout the region, especially Pakistan.
