Ya it is 100% possible, send through GPRS contact your service provider and tell them to activate GPRS service on your cell, but both mobiles should support mp3 format. You can also send blogs, clips, animations, templates etc.

GPRS is a General Packet Radio Service - A radio technology for GSM networks that adds packet-switching protocols, shorter set-up time for ISP connections, and offer the possibility to charge by amount of data sent rather than connect time. GPRS promises to support flexible data transmission rates typically up to 20 or 30 Kbps (with a theoretical maximum of 171.2 Kbps), as well as continuous connection to the network.

If you live in India and got Hutch connection so they charge only 99 Rs. per month for this service, you can surf unlimited net on mobile but you will be charged for downloading data on your mobile and sending data to any other mobile. You can also send MMS after activating GPRS on your mobile. It costs only 4 Rs. per MMS

i tried to send an audio clip to pk.. and noticed something flashing on my phone that said gprs... so i guess that means i have it right? (i don't think the msg got to PK b/c i don't think the person i was sending to has a mp3 enabled phone) anyways... if they have a mp3+gprs phone they should be able to receive my clips .... right?

Normally I think that person will get a download link from his / her mobile company... that link will be the link to the server, where the file will be hosting temporarily. That person have to download that file using his / her gprs / wap.

Ya GPRS service should be activated on both phones, only then they will be able to receive or send any kind of MMS.

if they have to download the file... that means they will probably be charged for it right...?
(i know i'll be charged from Rogers to send it...but they will also be charged for receiving/downloading it?)
