Is it haram in islam. well i had this daebate with some one about this and my friend said that since the smoke is purified in water it is not intoxicating or atleast not as intoxicating as cigeratte. i um said that in quaran Allah forbids ant thing that is addictive intoxicating.
Any Comments ppl? and could some one give suras from quran and hadith to prove either side of the argument?
Re: Smoking Sheesha
There are five stages of forbiddance...
Smoking cigarrettes or Sheesha falls under 'Mubaah', which is the middle stage...
Mubaah means not forbidden yet has harmful elements or effects, hence becomes impermissible...
Re: Smoking Sheesha
Mubah means “not forbidden” yet is “impermissible”? what are you talking about?
did you mean to say
“Mubah means not forbidden yet **if it has harmful elements or effects ** it then becomes impermissible”
??
Re: Smoking Sheesha
I guess lajawab's post is that sheesha falls into the grey ground. Impermissible means that it is unable to be permitted.
Thus, sheesha cannot be pronounced as forbidden, yet it cannot be declared to be permitted.
Re: Smoking Sheesha
^ huh!? it's not forbidden and neither is it permitted? i'll take that as a non-answer
Re: Smoking Sheesha
This is Mubaah…But since it is proven to contain carcinogens which are harmful, hence it is impermissible…
