Re: Smoking Haram-Why?

thank you so much!

Re: Smoking Haram-Why?

Excessive eating can lead you to certain diseases which can take away your life hence overeating is not liked and appreciated but is it haram

Re: Smoking Haram-Why?

What kind of this question. Compairing excessive eating with smoking :D doesn't make any sense.

Re: Smoking Haram-Why?

and you know what, actually it is. Well if not haram then at least gunah. I heard from scholars that if you have diabetes and you eat sugar on purpose, its sin.

Re: Smoking Haram-Why?

Smoking in general, is a vain (lagw) and undesirable act with no benefits so it should be avoided as per

23:3) وَالذین ھم عن اللغو معرضون

And who shun all that which is vain,

staying away from vain acts is an attribute of believers

Re: Smoking Haram-Why?

If it isnt haram, it should be.

Re: Smoking Haram-Why?

Peace ZareenKhan

Overeating is not liked (makrooh) when done once in a while … however to perform a makrooh act all the time? How can that not be haram? This is the reasoning behind such fatawa. Also, what is harmful in large doses is harmful in smaller doses … Cigarettes have nicotine in the tobacco. Pure nicotine is a poison …

[Nicotine poisoning - Wikipedia

b](Nicotine poisoning - Wikipedia)inge eating will be harmful not because of the food, but because of the behaviour. However, smoking itself is harmful and the behaviour in which it is consumed i.e. chain smoking or long term use. There has to be a distinction between these two.

Re: Smoking Haram-Why?

It is prohibited while fasting too, than there should be no doubt for its being haram.
