I’m allergic to cigarette smoke and often when i’m out meeting a client they would light one up and huff and puff away. Most of them are considerate and blv it’s wrong to smoke infront of women and don’t smoke.. but some of them sigh.
What I want to know is, is it alright to ask them to put it out or should I excuse myself and take a quick break? How can I ask them to put it out without sounding rude?
The other day I was shopping with a friend and all of a sudden some dog decides to start smoking in my face. I was so annoyed, didn't say anything to him but gave hima dirty look and walked away. I doubt they would even listen.
just look at the cigarette offten. They will get the point. Now if they are decent they would stop smoking. If they are not, nothing much you can do.
I am so glad smoking is not allowed on any public places in Canada
@ atiquette… I haven’t heard that word since I left pakistan.. Last time my sister used it… In fact she used to say it quite often.
“u guys don’t have etiquettes”

Thank yew!
I think you would'nt sound rude.
one of our Ex HRM an Arab American was addicted to smoking, his secertary a Philphino was very irritated with him for smoking.
She talked to him , but still he continued , then she took the matter to GM , there was a inter office memo around the office next day prohibiting them from smoking in office.
Good thing in UAE is that it is forbidden by Law in Public places you know, and practically implemented too.
All I mean is that general trend is in favour for nonsmokers, so if you ask would not sound bad.

omg a dog was smoking thats so cool! i mean...bad owner. :(
It's such a turn off. I don't know why so many Pakistani guys do it. It's not like women go stark raving mad at the nasty breath coming out of your mouths.

Majority of them are Arabs.. they're the ones that need etiquette classes. Pakistani men, I found were careful about it.
i had bad experience with arabs. i was waiting for my Kuwait Airways Flight to New York at heathrow airport waiting launge. there were these arrogant and jaahil kuwaiti fat neck pot belly sheiKhs who were smoking completely disregarding the smoking prohibtion sign all around them. shame. the Kuwait Airport airline staff [usuallly indo/pakis (so called miskeens)] could do something about it but they just passively asked them not to smoke upon my complain. they did not stop even after being politely asked to stop smoking. they thought they could get away with iti, i guess. i would have reported the violation to airport authorities [whites] but my flight was ready for boarding. this is what these fat arabs [those ignorants types] are like...jangali...jaanwar.
