Obesity can not be equated to smoking habit because it can be due to genetic reasons that people are obese and obesity can be dealt with if the person starts keeping a disciplined balanced diet and exercise. But the effects of smoking are permanent on your lungs, unless you go for a lung transplant.
At least in America, obesity also has to do with what food groups are cheaper and who can afford to buy healthier food. But smokers dig the hole for themselves wasting their money along with it.

I am for outsourcing too. I think it is a myth concocteed by some leftist liberal groups to criticize the bush gov’t. Having said that, I see paying an illegal alien extremely low wage --something a normal American would never accept - having the same effect as outsourcing.
In a way they are better than the Indian call-center guy, because they make very little and end up spending most it here. They may not pay taxes, but they surely are making a contribution to the economy.

There’s that too.. i dunno ti depends on lifestyle i guess.. not everyone has time/energy to cook something so they’ll eat out.. in the long run, yeah buying/makin ur own food IS cheaper.. i eat out at least once everyday coz im in school everyday .. its just more convenient!

Dopey, they do spend their mony here, hwoever, we all end up paying for their kids education (some are even considering making college education free for them), medical expenses. there needs to be some accountability...legalize all who are here. Give them SS # start the process of collecting taxes from them. No more free ride on education, medical and social services. Close the border and employ strict control.
