I just marinated some fish and after 3 long washings, they smell like lemony fresh masala 
dont want to add lotion to it b/c then my hadns’ll smell like very sexy lemony fresh fish masala. blahhh

Never tried it for this purpose but they sell very powerful hand washing paste in car parts stores which even removes black grease off your hands may be it is worth trying.
I keep a bod of disposable surgical gloves in a kitchen cabinet and use them for mixing masala or cutting onion , garlic , meat etc.
A box of 100 gloves costs $1.50 only.

using gloves is the best solution.
but other than that, you can wash your hands with dish-washing liquid, instead of regular handsoap.
or baking soda....

I meant my hands smell like the masala. Fish didnt have a smell.
