So I gushed about my Smashbox Halo foundation a year ago and friends a year has passed and I am STILL floored. It is the best thing since Helena Rubinstein. I break out with ANY foundation and I have used various foundations by Clinique, Estee Lauder, Chanel, Dior,Laura Mercier, Benefit, loreal to name a few. Some how nothing compares to halo. I have worn it daily to work, to weddings or a night out and my skin hasn’t had a single breakout. Even though it’s a mineral foundation, it doesn’t make my skin dry, in fact it’s hydrating. It gives an amazing glow to my skin. I love love love love it. and the best thing about it is the built in shaver, which you twist and it shaves out the exact mineral you need, so it is not messy like other mineral makeup brands. It retails for $60, which some find expensive, but given that I’ve been using it for a year and my skin is as smooth as a baby’s butt, I am very happy.
Lately, I have been very tempted to try YSL’s teint resist foundation since it has raving reviews on makeupalley.com (and since I love their touche eclat) BUT i seriously doubt it will beat halo:)
