SmartPhones - What do you do on it?

Ok, so I was discussing this with a friend and I started listing things out. I know we did this a few years ago but I want to get more creative ideas.
Here are a few things I do on my Android phone:

  • Phone (builtin)
  • Personal Info manager (contacts, calendar etc.)
  • Texting (including whatsapp and Viber)
  • Email (Gmail and corporate Exchange, 2 apps)
  • Camera (built in app)
  • Web browsing (built in app and XScope browser)
  • Video watching (YouTube, Video podcasts)
  • Netflix (movies)
  • TV Watching (Slingbox)
  • Train schedule (LIRR and subway)
  • Audio podcasts (Google Listen)
  • GPS and directions (builtin app)
  • Flashlight (yes, don’t laugh, Brightest Flashlight. CM7 has one builtin as well)
  • Ebook reading (Kindle and AudioDigest-DRM’d ebooks from library)
  • Games (too many to mention)
  • Alarm (Alarm Clock Xtreme)
  • Audio Books (Audible)
  • Password authentication (Google Authenticator)
  • Depositing cheques (don’t wanna list out the banks, but u can take pics of chccks and deposit)
  • Drawing (Drawing pad)

There’s more but i’ll pause for now.

Right now my really smart phone isn’t connecting to the Internet and its really bugging the heck out of me. :mad:

Yes, that app lets you take a picture and convert to PDF, which you can email.
I also have this other app which scans business cards and imports them in the contacts to be sync’d with either GMail or Exchange email (corporate)

CSS (Centralized Showing Services) for making my appts to see houses
Docusign ( the BEST thing that ever happened to Realtors!! i can download and send contracts for virtual signatures right from my iphone!! No more printing, scanning and emailing, or having to race around to get signatures or miss out on anything while i’m at my other job!)

Quran Lite

Qibla Finder

^^^ these have made it fun for my boys when practicing/learning suras…they can hear it on my phone and repeat/recite each line afterwards…
