With christmas coming up I will be looking out for a good quality pallete for emergency make up when on the go and I haven’t got my whole make up with me. I am looking for one with 2/3 eyeshadows, a pressed powder and maybe a gloss/lipstick and eye pencil in. I asked at the Bobby Brown counter last year and she told me they come in at christmas and had none left.
Any recommendations as to which brand do these mini palletes?
Ohhh I love Christmasy stuff. The makeup specially thats out around that time. All the small gift palettes. I love MAC for this. In my opinion they have the best collection around Christmas. They usually have one fir every skin tone (cool/warm/ neutral).

I would just pop into a Sephora store as there's a lot of brands that have Christmas palettes and kits coming out.
I was at Sephora yesterday actually and saw so many. Kat Von D, Sephora, Laura Mercier, Smashbox, Tarte, Too Faced - all have small kits available.
They all seem to have gotten good reviews as well.

I went to Debenha,s and House of Fraser to look at the xmas palletts and they were noce many of them, MAC, Illamasqua(cant remember the correct brand name), Bobby Brown only thing is they seem so pricey for such a small compact pallett. I thought they would be less that £40/50 each. I use Urban Decay , MAC for my other pallets I have at home but is is one i need for urgent times to keep in my handbag. I don't know I am now thinking it is perhaps not sensible to pay that for a emergency pallete maybe go for something cheaper from Boots. What do you ladies carry in your handbag make up wise? At the moment I have a oressed powder, eyeliner, lipbrush, lipliner, lipstick/gloss.

What exactly do you want in a compact? I mean, what are the important/essential items?
You can get something small with just powder, blush and two eyeshadows and then have a mini liner and mascara separately. Benefit do good minis and they are not too expensive (esp when stores like Debenhams do 10% off beauty) but they don't come in a nice compact... I'd just keep them in a small makeup bag with an eye compact.

Yes a powder , blush and 2 eyeshadows is the kind of palleete I am after, hmmm maybe I need to go back and look at Benefit one and see what they have.

Yes the Laura Mercier one is the kind i am after, a bit of everything in it. I have Naked 1 and 3 but they are not what i would like to be carrying around everywhere.
I will sure check Laura Mercier too, like that alot!

The new UD Palette coming out on 20th Nov is different than the Naked palettes. It’s got mascara lip gloss, eyeliner etc.

Omg that looks fab! I am soooo glad I came here right now as in the next half hour I was leaving to go to the shopping centre for my daughters coat and was thinking that today I will sort this palletee problem and buy somethig but now I am going to wait at least till the 20th and see this new one. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

It’s for the ud website. Everywhere else it’s 1st Dec. I don’t know if they have UK version of the website.
