Slut/Whore, N*****, Paki, Gay/Queer

Re: Slut/Whore, N*****, Paki, Gay/Queer

To quote Tina Fey in Mean Girls, "If we call each other sluts and whores then we make it okay for boys to call us sluts and whores."

For a second I thought you were accusing me of being uptight. :teary1:

I think it’s not about being uptight, it’s about keeping implications of your words in mind. It’s about seeing the far-reaching consequences of your decisions. About seeing more than an easy, cheap laugh.

it was hard for me to write.

Re: Slut/Whore, N*****, Paki, Gay/Queer

haha, no I was not.

You know, I used to think that girls who don’t swear are classy, etc. when I realized there are plenty of people who lack class/morals who also don’t swear. I don’t buy the whole argument that it’s ‘fun’ to do something ‘taboo’. If that was the case, then why not go out drinking? Plenty of people say you can’t have real fun without a drink. Is that the case? No.

For me, what it comes down to is this - your friends are like your family (or should be). You care about your family the same way you care about your friends. Why on earth would you swear at someone you care about, even as a joke? It’s just rude. I don’t get it … and it’s one those things I never will.

Re: Slut/Whore, N*****, Paki, Gay/Queer

From what i have seen so far, all the girls who call each other btch/whre/sl*t/lesbian (), their friendship is superficial and fake. Plus they look like fools when they use such langiage.
