Slimming Lengha Material

Ok ladies, what is the most slimming figure flattering material?

I know shiffon is supposed to be pretty good?

and I know satin is the WORST shows each and every single ounce of fat on your body.

Are there any materials that are silky, and stretchy?

What are the called and what are the best slimming materials out there?

Re: Slimming Lengha Material

Anyone???

Re: Slimming Lengha Material

I agree that chiffon would be good. I would steer clear of anything shiny or clingy!

Re: Slimming Lengha Material

chiffon

Re: Slimming Lengha Material

what about chiffon jamawar, is that good to use for a lehnga?

Re: Slimming Lengha Material

yeah isnt it?

Re: Slimming Lengha Material

I personally find that thick raw silk is the best at sucking you in, and making you look slim. But if you make a chiffon suit with the proper measurements, then it also has a slimming effect. Just make sure the suit is not tight, it should just skim your body.

Re: Slimming Lengha Material

^ thick raw silk is really stiff though and you want something with drape.
chiffon, jamavar chiffon, pure silk, and jamavar silk are all good choices. buy pure jamavar though, not the mixed material which is also stiff and coarse.
thinner pure raw silk is also a good choice.

a caveat with pure silk though, on it own, i.e. without jamavar, either raw or otherwise, is very light. so if you make your shirt out of that material, make sure there is fairly heavy kaam on the daaman of the shirt (hemline) so it weighs down the fabric. otherwise its too floaty.
for your lehenga bottom, i’d do layers of chiffon with a silk base. for the shirt i’d do the same but with one layer of chiffon on top of silk. sheer chiffon makes very pretty sleeves. you can also use silk net material for the shirt and dupatta but with light kaam as heavy kaam will drag down the net.

if you go through this site, they’ve listed the material they use for their lehengas- its very helpful to see what it’ll look like, and of course, to shop for the right kind of material.

Re: Slimming Lengha Material

in market chiffon jamawar or crinkle is best material suited. if u r fat use double crinkle , it has good fall and so u look slim and beautifull.

yes it is....although i had my lehnga made in jamawar but not chiffon one...both work well!!!

I dont think thick raw silk is a good option…for me…chiffon does miracles

doesn't crinkle add volume though?

Re: Slimming Lengha Material

not at all. crinkle chiffon is very light and comfortable fabric. nowdays we are mostly using double crinkle in our dresses as it increases durability of the dress and both layers of crinkle are joined by embroidery so good that it represents a single layer of fabric and no one could notice that its double crinkle.
because both layer stick together there is no question of increased volume.
