For some reason, I was blessed with this trait also. I eat like a linebacker but do not put on weight. Surely thats a blessing, esp since I SO love to eat!
But when it comes to little ones, you need to be really careful. When pregnant, make sure you eat the right things to keep a really healthy diet. When nursing, make sure to eat the things that are good for baby since what you eat goes into your milk. When I was nursing I had SUCH a craving for broccoli, cauliflower, turnips, sauerkraut...all the totally gaseous things ... and little one paid the price for THAT.
The weight will come off at some point...the thing is, try not to worry about it much till you're done with pregnancy and nursing. Proper nutrition and sufficient calorie intake is SO valuable to developing brains!
