Re: Slim in Six

it is a work out program that promises to help you shed pounds and inches in just six weeks......doesn't look too difficult either.

Re: Slim in Six

Who's it by? Just workout or a diet strategy as well?

Re: Slim in Six

plz tell...I need to lose inches from the middle

Re: Slim in Six

You know guys, it all depensd upon the calories invs calories out. You lose about a kg for a deficit of 7000 calories.

A normal person burns 2000-2500 calories just sitting, doing nothing.

Lets say you burn 2500. If you eat 3000 calories per day, you will gain a kg in 2 weeks. If you eat 2000, you will lose a kg in 2 weeks. You either need to decrease the intake or increase the amount of calories burned. It really is that simple.

And remember, anything that's too good to be true, probably is!

Re: Slim in Six

IceSoul is right.....it is just simple math.
However, it has been a while since I followed any sort of set routine and that's what I am looking for.
I don't need any miracles, nor do I want something that is going to push me so hard that I start to dread my workouts.
I want a fun program that keeps me interested and motivated......

Re: Slim in Six

I agree with IceSoul, and I don't believe in following programs or plans. Just eat what you normally eat and just substitute or eliminate the not so healthy foods or decrease portion size. This way you don't have to make drastic changes that you continuously have to work on keeping up with. It should be something you can follow and fit right into your current lifestyle.

Just wanted to add for those of us who like to work with pounds, it takes 3500 cals deficit to lose 1 pound of fat.

Re: Slim in Six

^ you are right about decreasing caloric intake however, that's really not all it takes at every stage in life.....particularly for those folks like me that have a job that keeps them stationary in a chair in front of a pc.

I want to be able to lose inches and tone muscles as well as keep my heart and lungs healthy......that means some level of workout routine.

Re: Slim in Six

Oh ofcourse regardless of which stage a person is in life exercise is necessary on top of a healthy diet to stay in shape. I actually didn't even know what slim in six is just looked it up and its a work out program. I apologize I was only talking about diet regimes or fad diets without knowing what this program is about.

Re: Slim in Six

I am not sure how much you want to lose but anything that promises short term results should be avoided. We should develop a habit to reach for foods that are nutritious and satisfying. I am struggling with my own weight loss, it is taking way more than it needs to and I am really behind my target date.

I say work with a friend :)

Re: Slim in Six

With increasing exercise (30 minutes a day) and slight modification in diet - you can easily lose 10-15 in six weeks.

Re: Slim in Six

A healthy wt loss is 1-2 lbs a week, this can be done with exercise and a healthy diet. Diet alone can/may help one lose wt but to tone up and increase heart strength one needs to work out as well.
