Sleeve length and train on lengha

Or these 2 even correlated? My mom is currently getting my shaadi lengha made in Pakistan and the karigaar told her that if there is a train on the lengha, people always do 3/4 length sleeves. He said it’s a rule of thumb in Pakistan. I told her to make half sleeves…

Has anyone heard of this before?

never heard it. there is a train on mine and i have short sleeves as well. My karigar didn't tell me anything like that.

Though I didn’t hear anyone say that train and sleeves length is correlated, I am not surprised that tailor or kariger tell you what should be done. At times there is some convincing required from your side but they’ll eventually do what you want them to do. (They’ll generally comment stuff like, its going to be your responsibility then) Every time there is an order from a slim girl and I tell the tailor to make the neck smaller, he’ll argue all over again that its not per standards. :smack:

I've never heard of this rule but I can see where the tailor's coming from. I think it would look very elegant for 3/4 sleeves and a train, short sleeves to me would throw the balance off but its also a personal preference.

I don't think there's a rule but he might just be saying that to emphasize that it will look better. I do agree with him - I think 3/4 or full sleeves will make it look classy and elgant and it's a more pulled together look. I'd prefer it over half sleeves if I had a train... personal opinion though :)

You should do whatever you feel like, it's your big day!

I think he's saying that cause long sleeves are very in! but by the end of the day it's up to you what you want to wear and I'm sure it will look good! :)
