Sleeping routine - HELP!

Hi guys,

Hope you are all well…

I am having such problems with my little bubba in terms of his sleeping time! Oh god, it is such a mission to put him ot sleep. He sometimes does not go to sleep at 12-1 midnight!!! I feed him around 8pm and putting him to sleep after that just takes aaaaaages!! he just cries and cries and CRIES!!!

Today I’ve been thinking maybe to give him hungry milk at night - maybe that’ll make him go to sleep quicker due to its consistency. BTW - my baby is formula fed.

So what is/was your routine for your bubba? What is your day time routine with him/her?

Please do provide me your tips to make night times easier!

thank you guys xx

Re: Sleeping routine - HELP!

So many moms out here & no one even bothered to answer?

Shaazy how old is your baby?

Does he sleep with you in your room or in a separate room?

When do you guys sleep? Mommy & daddy that is.

Re: Sleeping routine - HELP!

From personal experience it takes 3-4 months for the baby to get into some kind of routine. It's gets better as they get older. Some kids sleep soundly from the get go, afreen hain un par. But for some you have to be patient and take it one day at a time. For my little boy, we put him in his crib from the start, since he hated hsi bassinet. For the first 3 months, he would wake up every 3 hours on the dot. Then he started getting up twice during the night for milk. This has gradually decreased to one feeding at night time, which is usually 5 or 6 a.m. Alhamdulillah! things will get better slowly, you just have to be patient, please...

Re: Sleeping routine - HELP!

May be baby nap routine at day time is bothering him to take night time good sleep. i mean if your baby taking very good nap at evening time then its hard for him to sleep so early at night. or may be there some other reasons... like gas etc.

Re: Sleeping routine - HELP!

8 p.m is way toooo late. How old is your baby?

You need to give dinner at 7 or about 2-3 hours before his bedtime. No sugary stuff after 5 p.m. A warm bath. No napping after 4 p.m

Give him a soothing ritual like a warm bathm change his pajamas, read to him/sing to him, play quietly and then to bed.

hope it helps
